With my dose of flu just abating, we travelled to Bradford on Friday afternoon, had dinner and then set off for the NEW Bradford venue in
the Bradford Academy. Located in the Hall we set up and then returned to the hotel. Doug, Matt, Cameron and RobertM all arrived during the
course of the evening.
Saturday morning started well, overcast but clear but the snow arrived not long after. On arrival at the Bradford Academy things were a little
chaotic with power for certain parts of the building not working. Nevertheless, by opening time everything was up and running. Saturday morning
also saw the arrival of Terry and Mark joining us for the weekend.
With Rail Simulator and the DCC Workshop sharing the RailDriver console, it was put to good to use over the whole weekend. Doug had
brought his new "Thomas Kincades Christmas Express" train set with him, so that was DCC chipped as well.
We were ably assisted during the weekend by Doug Kightley, RobertM, Adam from the Bradford MRC, Terry, Mark and codrivermike.
Numerous UKTS members also visited the stand over the weekend to chat all things train and rail sim plus a large number
of the visiting public dropped in for a chat and some for a brief drive. The DCC Workshop attracted a number of interested visitors
and showed as always that there are some serious misconceptions that need to be addressed by manufacturers and retailers alike.
The layouts were excellent with a variety of gauges and scales to suit all tastes. Traders selling their wares and demonstrators showing
how it could be done. Model building, loco and wagon building and even 2mm track construction using the 2mm Society track templates.
New this year was the "Arthur Towers Trophy - Chairmans Choice" which was awarded to Outwell Village, an EM gauge layout.
Matt also brought along his "Talk to your Trains" DCC software which was demonstrated regularly over the weekend. Several people took turns
at talking to the trains with some amusing results and even more bemused visitors. Nowt wrong wi' Aitch 'n' Emm Controllers.

Our thanks to Keith Fell, Chris Towers and the Bradford Model Railway Club for the invitation, the refreshments and the location.
Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who dropped by for a chat
and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
