Exhibition Report

Hartlepool
15th/16th July 2006

A warm welcome from Malcolm Priestman (Exhibition Manager) at the Manor College. Located in the Boys Gymnasium, just one of the 4 large rooms used for the exhibition. We arrived on the Friday evening to setup, Doug was already waiting for us with tables and chairs organised.

It was good to see a number of UKTS members over the two days, driving and chatting. Updated and new routes to see and talk about with a number of routes coming out over the next few weeks.
Mark Found - "The Railway Channel" was also in attendance as was Chris Leigh, the editor of "Model Rail".

As well as an excellent choice in UK based layouts there were two very interesting Swiss layouts built up over a number of levels. See the photos directly above. The first two shows Lillesdorf in 2mm and the second two shows Furka Oberalp in 3.5mm.

We were joined over the weekend by Doug Kightley, Staxtrax (Clive), Alan Howat, Terry King and number of enthusiastic youngsters who sat and drove quite happily.

Our thanks to Malcolm Priestman (Exhibition Manager) and the Manor College for the invitation, the refreshments and making us welcome. Thanks to all the UKTS members who joined us to help demonstrate or visited us for a drive and / or a chat. See you all again in 2007.
