Cab-It and I arrived friday evening almost under cover of darkness to setup the stand after a very LONG, tedious journey.
An hour and a half later we were off to the hotel. Saturday morning saw Laurie arriving just before us and we were
up and running very quickly. Only half a crew here, the other half were at the one day Tring Exhibition.
This was an unusually quiet exhibition over both days with numbers down on previous years. Nevertheless those
that didn't come along missed a good exhibition. A wide variety of layouts in various scales and gauges, numerous
traders and demonstration stands.
The DCC Workshop was kept moderately busy over the two days answering questions on various aspects of DCC and it's use.
Mike Drummond (A DCC fanatic) brought along his Trix ICE3, full sound and lights, amazing models. You may recall he brought
along his California Zephyr last year.Mike kindly left the ICE3 for the duration of the exhibition, thanks Mike.
With two exhibitions on the saturday and half a crew at each, we were on full crew for sunday. We were ably assisted
over the weekend by LAD491, dkightley, partyspiritz, king125 and damian2 with visits from jennings, riche and a few
I didn't catch names of. We were also visited and assisted by a couple of the youngsters at the exhibition with trader parents.
Our thanks to Tony Spencer and Ilford & West Essex MRC for the invitation, location and refreshments.
Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who dropped by for a chat
and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
The links below both lead to videos taken at the exhibition. Right click and save as, then play from your machine.
