With the pre-advised change of location in the school (The classroom we occupied last year not available this year)
Cab-It and I arrived just after 7.00pm on the Friday to set up. Located centre stage in the Main Hall, we unloaded
and setup and then returned to the hotel.
We had a good few crew over the weekend to help out with the stand including Doug (Doug Kightley), Terry (King125),
Mark (Damian2), Laurie (LAD491), Callum (Callum Presley) and Cameron (Micronic). In addition a number of other
members visited to chat and drive. Thanks as always for all the help.
Plenty of layouts and trade stands spread over 2 large rooms, the main hall and the gym. Layouts from 'N' gauge up to
'G' gauge. The Clubs North American stand showed some interesting comparisons by having both 'G' gauge locos and
stock alongside the 'HO' gauge equivalent.
For those into American Modelling we were also joined on the saturday by Mike D and his son who brought along his Broadway
Limited Imports California Zephyr. Three power cars, A-B-A and 7 of the various cars that make up the Zephyr.
See the picture of the power cars on the Top line right hand side.
Our thanks to Tony Preston (Exhibition Manager) and the Ilford & West Essex club for the invitation, the refreshments
and making us welcome as always. Thanks to all the UKTS members who joined us to help demonstrate or visited us for a
drive and / or a chat. Hopefully see you all again in 2007.
