Our third visit to the Severn Valley Railway Steam Gala weekend with UKTS based in the Bewdley Buffet Room.
It was a superb weekend with several thousand visitors to the steam gala, a large number of whom dropped
in to see us. A considerable number of UKTS members came along for the weekend to help demonstrate and to
chat. New friendships were formed and all in all a cracking weekend.
Cab-It as usual went out taking pictures of the locos. Note: If anybody would like the FULL SIZE
version of any of these photos drop us an email. They are 2448 x 1632 and around 1Mb each.
One unfortunate incident on the saturday afternoon was one of the pannier tanks shot a spark
into the undergrowth at the South end of Bewdley Station causing quite a ferocious fire.
See the next four pictures taken by Alan Howat. Sunday morning saw the fire crew return
to ensure that there was no smouldering in the undergrowth.
Two more of Cab-Its pictures from the Steam Gala and a few of the many members
who came to visit us over the weekend.
Our thanks to the large number of members who assisted us over the weekend by demonstrating
and to the considerable number of members and visitors who dropped by for a chat.
Thanks also to Alan Howat and 45002 for additional photographs in this report.
We would like to thank BlueArrow TS for the invitation to attend and demonstrate at the
Steam Gala Weekend and to the Severn Valley Railway Staff for providing the Buffet Room at
Bewdley.
